Signing at GW Walsall

Saturday 15th March 2008
Games Workshop Walsall held their twelfth birthday celebrations on the 15th of March and extended an invitation to Richard to join them, an invitation he was more than happy to accept. As a special birthday treat, Walsall was then allowed to start selling copies of Relentless on that very day, two weeks before it would be available in the rest of the country. Richard was thrilled to be able to sign the very first copies of the novel that went on sale and meet the fans who were buying them.

The store had gone one step further and had involved the Relentless in their primary event - the ship hung in orbit over the battlefield, bombarding first one army and then the other as the battle for its control raged.

James, a staff member there, had even painted up a model version of the Relentless which was raffled away on the day. The winner, a keen BFG player, happily declared that the Relentless would be the centrepiece of his fleet.

Richard also stopped off at GW Birmingham en route and chatted with the staff there. They also had been given the green light to sell a few copies of Relentless and so Richard signed their order as well!

Richard would like to thank everyone involved in making the day so special, especially Andy, James & Caroline, and all those fans who came along, bought the book and had a chat. Welcome to the Navy!
